Young at Heart
Being playful can significantly decrease the chance of disease and wrinkles, according to studies. Not taking things so seriously helps ease the burden that stress has on a person. Stress can lead to very serious diseases, some of which are fatal. It builds up in a human being like a cancer taking over. Staying young at heart, taking time to swing, time for a friend, or just stopping to literally smell the roses, helps people keep off the signs of time.
Volunteering with kids is a good way to not only give back, but remember a simpler time. A time without bills and mortgages. A time where coloring was the most awesome thing to do! A time where a person can really view life for all its simple pleasures.
Staying Fit
To look young, a person has to do some serious working out. This means working out three to five times a week; really pumping the heart and iron. Finding exercises that are enjoyable such as running on trails or along the beach help people stay motivated. Motivation is a big part of exercising. Staying fit will help all those other anti aging techniques pay off.
Seeing a doctor and/or personal trainer is a good way to get started. It is important to build up with exercises, not to jump in the deep end and end up straining a muscle or something. Having friends and family for workout partners is another means to support.
A few exercises that can be done without a gym membership include:
● Jumping Rope
● Running
● Speed Walking
● Resistance Band Training
● Jumping Jacks
● Sit Ups and Crunches
● Swimming
When a person enjoys what they are doing they will get more out of it. That means more calorie burning and more muscle building because of the frequency in which they workout. This isn’t something that can be done once or twice a month. Anti aging requires commitment.
Eating Well
Ever hear the old saying, “You are what you eat” before? Think about all the fatty junk food that gets consumed each week. That tub of popcorn didn’t finish itself off. By eating a well-balanced meal of proteins, greens, and grains a person can keep the weight off and enjoy how good their body feels. It even shows up on the face in a diminished appearance of wrinkles, no more bags under the eyes, and no more creases around the mouth.
Eating well is a lot like exercise in that people have to train themselves to eat what is good for them. It is not something that comes naturally. But it can be accomplished. Reading up on nutrition is a great place to start.
